Housing & Homelessness

The Homeless are people from many different histories, sufferings, experiences, & situations.  Many have been displaced by circumstances not of their own doing, while many have brought it onto themselves.  Many remain civil & responsible in society, while many others act horribly & are often insane.  Some have given-up hope of improvement, while others among them see their setting as temporary but with no concise end in sight.  There are many variables among them & I know that first-hand because I was homeless for 25 months or so.  I was among them for a long time.  I wasn't always freshly laundered & bathed.  I lived it; if you didn't, you can't empathize.

One cannot function well without good rest, nutrition, support, & encouragement.  Rest is minimal for the homeless because they're in the hot weather all day & night for many months, then in the cold & frosty weather for many of the other months.  Nutrition is hit & miss.  Laundering & bathing are usually rare.  You may not be able to empathize & that's understandable.  Please be made aware that the homelessness situation & population among us, is not something you've any expertise in.  The Homeless can be restored, at least minimally if not all-out fully, by utilizing them in agreements that serve our State.  That depends on the individuals themselves, & the opportunity factors.

Long ago, during the Great Depression of 1929-1942, the Civilian Conservation Corps was one of a few Programs that got the homeless on their feet again.  The Works Progress Administration provided many years-long projects that needed Labor Forces.  The Farm Labor Camp networks for the Dustbowl Okies provided housing & work.  So-on & so-forth.  Today, is as good as any other time, to build in California & offer the work to the homeless people & families, in exchange for propping many of them up until they can stand on their own.  That will take a lot of development on our part, but it's the right thing to do & I intend to do so if elected Governor of California.  That last part, there, is up to YOU.  I already have the ideas to start with, & surely more will be brought to the table, but it's a plan I've worked on for the past several years.  My Plan holds much promise.  You'll have to elect me & elect Representatives who will work WITH me, not AGAINST me.  That necessity is requisite & applicable to the next four elections.

Housing is a mess in Kalifornia & it'll take the return of California to fix it.  The astronomical & mostly unattainable costs for all but an upper-crust few, is un-ac-ceptable !  Many structures are unused but not utilized.  Many houses are far larger than the Occupants need.  Many areas are undeveloped & could be well-suited to small-house neighborhoods construction, in a spirit similar to Levittown.  Much land is "owned" by the government & isn't utilized to serve We, the People.  I intend to focus on getting people sheltered, housed, into ownership, dignified by having purpose, productive, prosperous, happy, joyful, & such things as G_d intended & are honoring to Him.  He told us that we will always have the Poor among us, & He also told us He blesses those who help others.  Let's work together to reduce the number of Poor & the number of Homeless, in obedience.  There are many approaches I have in mind & I almost can't wait any longer than necessary to embark on such corrective missions.  That'll require my election, which is up to YOU.  Don't forget those other Representatives, either.
